How we help adult carers

In families where someone is ill or disabled, often more than one person helps to look after them.  There might be adults in your family who help to care for someone, and we can support them too.

We offer a range of support for adult carers, including a variety of information and advice to help you plan your caring and feel more in control.

If you’d like to talk through your caring role or get help understanding benefits, finding a local support group, accessing services or getting a break from caring, please call our Carer Support Advisors on 01992 58 69 69.

We run a range of free workshops, courses and events.  From information that will support you to care to opportunities to learn a new skill or take up a hobby, these are a chance for you to do something different, meet other carers and have some time for yourself.

We also provides a platform for family carers to speak up about the issues that are important to them and to influence the way in which services are developed and delivered locally.  If you have something to say and want to make your voice heard, contact our Involvement Team.
